Move aside traditional pizzas, because gourmet pizzas seem to be cropping up all over town. It means less whining from me when J feels like pizza (which happens practically all the time!)
A notch up from the other gourmet pizza bars, Crisp Handcrafted Pizza offer more than just pizza on their menu. Pastas and salads are also available.
Our order. No pastas or salads for us. One traditional and one gourmet pizza.
Portuguese chicken - tomato, mozzarella, portuguese spiced chicken, roasted capsicum, spanish onion, green capsicum, drizzled with peri peri sauce.
Gone are the days when I would turn up my nose at the sight of a chicken pizza, which usually entailed dry pieces of chicken swimming in barbecue and tomato sauce. I was delighted by the tender pieces of chicken, dressed up in a spicy and subtly sweet peri peri sauce.
The lot - tomato, mozzarella, leg ham, mushrooms, salami, capsicum, onion, kalamata olives, bacon, prawns (anchovies optional)
An oldie but goodie, the ingredients were fresh and not as heavy/oily as the pizzas from a takeaway shop. As you can see from the photos, the servings and the amount of toppings piled onto each pizza was quite decent and ensured that no bites were just crust.
